Young Leaders Parliament (YLP) is a non-profitable, non-political youth platform. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect from members, applicants, event participants, and website visitors, why we collect it, how we protect it, and what rights you have over it.

Sensitive information: Your CNIC number and religion are treated as sensitive personal data. We collect them only where necessary for identity verification and legally required record-keeping, and we apply additional access restrictions to protect them.

Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary, and only with parties bound to protect it.

Internal YLP Team

Provincial, divisional & district leaders, cabinet, and administrative staff who need your data to run programs — access is role-restricted.

Service Providers

Hosting, email (SMTP), SMS & WhatsApp messaging providers who process data on our behalf, strictly to deliver our services to you.

Government & Regulators

Where legally required — for tax, charity regulation, or law-enforcement requests under Pakistani law.

Partner Organizations

Only where you have applied for a jointly run program, and only with your knowledge at the point of application.

Access to sensitive fields (CNIC, payment info) limited to authorized staff only

Data hosted on secured servers with restricted administrative access

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we work hard to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security, and we encourage you to also safeguard your own account credentials.

Duration

Data Retention

We keep your personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes it was collected for, or as required by law.

Rejected Applications

Deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period after the selection cycle closes, unless you reapply.

Active & Past Members

Retained for the duration of membership and for a period afterward for alumni records, certificates & legal/tax purposes.

Event Records

Attendance and registration data kept for reporting and historical records of YLP activities.

Financial Records

Payment records retained as required under applicable tax and charity regulations.
